Asus ZX1 Lamborghini Phone

Written by admin on Saturday, March 15th, 2008 in gadgets.

Asus ZX1 Lamborghini Phone
This is another one of those obscenely unaffordable renditions of a car related model of a cellphone. It is likely to make its first public show at CeBIT this year. It works on a brilliant 520 MHz Qualcomm CPU and comes with Windows Mobile 6 Pro operating system. It also comes with support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The addition of basic GPS navigation makes the phone stand in the league of some pretty big names. It is good to see a luxury phone that has more than a satisfactory spec page. It is said that the interface of this one comes with this one is similar to the HTC Touch or the iphone. [ Source ] (Read the full post about ‘Asus ZX1 Lamborghini Phone’…)

Cuba having a change of heart; decides to allow computer, DVD player sales
While most of us take the latest and greatest computer for granted, or at least the fact that we are easily able to purchase a computer. Not to mention we seem to be very worried about the next-generation movie players and have all gotten caught up in the recent format war (where Blu-ray came out victorious). But what if those options had not been available to us? Being very into tech it’s easy to forget that some people may not be able to purchase such devices, not because of a financial reason but because their government did not allow it. While I will not dive to far into Communism here, it is with very good news that there are some signs of change in Cuba, even if it is just a little at a time. A USB flash drive that really takes advantage of the Bee
The latest in the never ending supply of USB flash drives is the USBee, which makes not only perfect sense name wise, but also has a “bee like” yellow and black exterior. Along with the fancy name and coloring the USBee drive actually has some nice features that go along, first off the drive is made from silicon and aluminum and has a flexible design to prevent accidental damage. In addition to a thoughtful and hopefully damage proof design the USBee also has a cooling system built into it’s stripes to keep it from overheating and a detachable cap that will snap on to the other end when the drive is in use. Lego MP3 Player: Easy to Lose
These cool players seem to be simple Lego blocks but are actually capable of entertaining you better than a set of building blocks. The buttons are in the form of some of the nubs that are used by the Lego blocks to join other Lego blocks. They come with controls such as volume, pause, play, forward and backward. The songs are stored on microSD cards that can have memory capabilities reaching 2 gigabytes! (Read the full post about ‘Lego MP3 Player: Easy to Lose’…)

Nike’s SportBand ready for April launch?
Posted Mar 15th 2008 10:42AM by Darren MurphFiled under: Wearables Make of it what you will, but Germany’s own Mac Life has apparently grabbed hold of a few more details concerning that SportBand we saw sashay into the FCC’s database late last month. Reportedly, the unit isn’t meant to replace the Nike+ipod system; rather, it’s an alternative for runners who’d prefer not to have earbuds in and a DAP on their person when logging their treks. As expected, time, speed, distance and calories will all be tracked, and each run can be captured and stored on the outfit’s website after you thumb a ride back home. We’re told to expect said device in April for €59.95 ($93), but only time will tell if that’s an accurate assertion (and true worldwide).[Tha (Read the full post about ‘Nike’s SportBand ready for April launch?’…)

Electronic Arts going after Take-Two - Does it Matter?

Written by admin on Saturday, March 15th, 2008 in gadgets.

This past week, giant video game publisher Electronic Arts placed a hostile bid of $2 billion to take over fellow publisher Take-Two. Take-Two is the maker of the controversial but mega-selling franchise, Grand Theft Auto. So what does this mean if EA does in fact buy out T2? Well, it’s not as if there won’t be other video game makers, large and small, remaining. There are still literally dozens of them out there.

Every day, some kid wakes up and dreams of making their own video game, and some will. There will always be a niche for small game outfits, and large publishers like EA or T2 will gladly buy and/or publish those games to a national or international market.
