S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky confirmed for August

In July last year developer GSC Game World announced they were creating a follow-up game to their hit title S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl (SSoC) called Clear Sky. That game would form a prequel to the events seen in the original title.
With SSoC taking several years to develop I’m happy to report the next game will take nowhere near as long to arrive. GSC has confirmed Clear Sky will be released for PC on August 29 this year with a simultaneous worldwide launch. Sergiy Grygorovych, GSC World Publishing CEO said:
Our intention to deliver the game simultaneously worldwide is both a challenge and big responsibility to the many fans of the game around the globe. We are looking forward to achieve this ambitious goal in August.
Fans of the original will be pleased to hear the game offers a brand new storyline, but still ties in to the events covered in the first game. I am certainly looking forward to it and thoroughly enjoyed SSoC. Hopefully they have continued to improve the already fantastic engine to offer an even more atmospheric experience.
