iPod nano Belt

iPod nano Belt
This belt not only helps keep your pants up, but your spirit as well. Using polyurethane leather, the buckle boasts a headphone port that allows you to listen to your ipod nano just about anywhere you go. After all, with the iPod nano tucked away safely inside the buckle itself, it makes it all the harder for someone to nick it. The iPod nano belt retails for $33.99 a pop. I’d strongly recommend you removing your headphones before you drop your pants, lest you want the earbuds to unceremoniously make a hasty exit from your ears down to the floor. Trapster warns drivers of speed traps through mobile phones

Written by admin on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 in gadgets.

Trapster is a new mobile phone application that may subliminally encourage drivers to speed. Why subliminal? Well Trapster comes under the guise of being a speed trap sharing system, which means they, or actually the other users are helping you in not getting caught while driving fast. Using Wi-Fi or GPS, Trapster lets drivers report the location of speed traps, red light cameras and other locations that may be of interest to other drivers. Once you get into the Trapster system, you’ll automatically get an audio alert when you’re approaching a location with existing ticket threat. Then it’s up to you how you can avoid that threat.

Air Suit Turns Sky Divers Into High Flyers

Written by admin on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 in gadgets.

Air Suit Turns Sky Divers Into High Flyers
It’s entirely possible to look cool whilst skydiving, but if you do it when wearing the Air suit, you’ll sacrifice style for exhilaration. The $1250 birdman outfit is custom made for each buyer and could in theory be made even more dorky with, say, Superman decals, but the real purpose is fun. Instead of merely falling from a plane, wearers can use the extra air resistance to swoop through the sky. If you want one, it will take eight weeks or more to be manufactured, and you’ll need to know what you’re doing. The Opulent Items website will only sell them to “experienced skydivers”. Flickr helps find your friends with, uh, Find Your Friends feature

Written by admin on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 in gadgets.

Flickr figured it’s about time we found out who among our friends also keep online photo albums. If you’d like an easy way to search for people you know on Flickr’s user base, you can do so now with a convenient, and aptly titled Find Your Friends Feature. All you have to do is access the Find Your Friends page while logged in, and Flickr will access your address book for you and automagically bring you a list of users with email addresses matching those in your address book. This isn’t new, but still a great feature especially for those who have at least a few hundred people in email address books.

Rock unveils the lightweight Pegasus P210 notebook

Written by admin on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 in gadgets.

Apple’s macbook air even in its infancy stage is already being threatened by other laptop manufacturers. UK-based laptop maker Rock for one has released its newest laptop model the Pegasus P210, a 12-inch laptop that weighs in at just about 2.2-pounds.

In addition to its weight, or lack-off, the Pegasus P210 also brags of a ‘potential’ 6-hour battery life, which assuming that would be a real world estimate would be wonderful. Those features alone could be enough for the Pegasus P210 to gain the moniker – ideal travel companion.

But wait, there’s more to the Pegasus P210 than just being lightweight and having a ‘potential’ battery life of 6 hours.

Mozilla releases final Firefox 3 beta
Mozilla has released what will be the final beta version of Firefox 3, which comes in the form of Firefox 3 Beta 5. While normally we would not get this excited over such a small jump, because going from beta 4 to beta 5 should not result in excitement. According to the release notes there has been over 750 changes since beta 4 became available, most of which comes not as new features but bug fixes, which should make any current Firefox 3 user consider moving up. That is especially true for any OS X users because that pesky jfif issue with copying images from the web has been fixed. Oh, and we cannot forget, there is a new initial launch splash screen to marvel at. (Read the full post about ‘Mozilla releases final Firefox 3 beta’…)
